In English: Cristina Burns: Surreal still life: food from the alienation and colorful perspective

''Delusional Parasitosis''

Cristina Burns (Spain, 1982) is a photographer who is the subject of still lifes with enough frequency. Relation to insects and parasites ( Morgellons syndrome, for example) child mental disorders reflected in the foods appearing in photographs by Burns. Also, food presentation As can be so succulent pastries and jellies , combined with filth bugs, forcing the viewer a UN contemplate universe of contrasts. Aggressive sweet contrasts where, claiming to be tested. Taste, is suddenly polluted by countless tales of filth as viscera , dead animals , birds dissected , human heads of childish ... Multiple Food terrors that distance one thereof realism and still lifes , all about the search for representing something nice paragraph rich palate.


Finally, it notes that the materials used in these photographs and montages are not at all edible, but treated plastic and sparkling ornaments, giving these works of art to a completely unnatural air. This, again, reaffirms the surreal character of still lifes, showing once again that it is in front of a suggestive and bizarre food, but even the most curious can never prove.
